Episode Eighty

Episode Eighty: "This could be the most one-sided fight since 1973 when Ali faced an eighty-foot tall mechanical Joe Frazier."

This is one reason why we do the show.

Hi everyone. In this episode, we discuss a more random assortment of things than we normally do. Some of the topics are, Kevin Smith and how airlines suck, Star Wars cartoons and the post Jedi era, the idiot that killed himself by flying into a federal building and why he is NOT a "hero" as some fools claim he is, Sarah Palin and how she is benefiting from government run health care, the many ways you can screw up a couple's evening without even trying, and oh so much more!

Music this week is from:

Leonard Cohen - "Everybody Knows"

Skid Row - "Sweet Little Sister"

Weird Al Yankovic - "Spam"

Zeromancer - "Idiot Music"

Rammstein - "Mein Hertz Brent"

Concrete Blonde - "Everybody Knows"

Episode Seventy Nine

Welcome back to another episode of Are You Serious. This week, we have some interesting topics for conversation. Some of these include Chris' insensitivity toward Ash Wednesday (like that's a surprise to anyone,) yelp.com and how people have no idea what they are talking about, Modern Family, 30 Rock, Community, Parks and Recreation and The Office.

After those topics, Chris and Frank address accusations made on another podcast as to their Oscar picks. Like any good debate, Chris pulled audio to present his argument. It should make for some fun listening.

After that, almost as an afterthought, Chris and Frank discuss Star Wars: The Clone Wars since Frank is now caught up on episodes for the most part. Most interesting, in regard to the Mandalore three part story arc, it is revealed that Jango Fett and his cloned son Boba are not true Mandalorians. Since the Clone Wars show is considered cannon by Lucasfilm, this is a very interesting plot point. It frees up writers to develop the clones, Boba, the Mandalorians and explore Jango's backstory.

Music this week is from:

Leonard Cohen - "Everybody Knows"

Concrete Blonde - "Everybody Knows"

Above the Law - "Freedom of Speech"

An Emotional Fish - "Celebrate"

Meat Puppets - "Popskull"

Steel Panther - "Big Boobs"

Episode Seventy Seven

Episode Seventy Seven:"Nineteen seventy seven. He's um... he's with your friends."

Well, here it is, our last pre-Lost season premiere episode. That's why we recorded Monday night instead of Tuesday. This week, we discuss some very random things, from the Grammy awards to the Supreme Court to our President getting his confidence back and taking it to the opposition. We call Bri, if only to prove that she is actually a real person. The call does not last long. Apparently, people are trying to sleep.

Music this week is from:

Joe Satriani - "Surfing with the Alien (live)"

Betty Blowtorch - "I Hope You Die"

P!nk - "Bohemian Rhapsody (live)"
